Automatic Poultry Bag Clipper

The IPPS Automatic Poultry Bag Clipper is a professional pneumatic bag-closing system designed for secure and hygienic packaging of whole chickens and poultry products in polyethylene, shrink and other suitable food-grade packaging bags.
After the poultry product is placed inside the bag, the operator introduces the gathered bag neck into the clipping position. The machine automatically compresses and closes the bag neck with a high-strength food-grade aluminium clip, creating a firm, consistent and tamper-evident closure.
The clipping system is designed to work with standard-market aluminium clips available in different dimensions and hardness grades. The appropriate clip size and closing tooling are selected according to the poultry weight, bag material, film thickness and required closure strength.
Food-grade aluminium clips provide a strong and corrosion-resistant closure suitable for demanding poultry packaging applications. Compatible clip formats can be selected from commonly available industrial S-Clip or equivalent market-standard aluminium clip systems.
The pneumatic clipping mechanism provides repeatable closing force and consistent clip deformation, helping achieve reliable bag closure without excessive damage to the packaging film.
The machine can be configured with an integrated pneumatic bag-tail cutting system, allowing excess bag material above the clip to be automatically trimmed after closure and producing a cleaner and more professional finished package. Automatic pneumatic tail cutting is a common feature of professional poultry bag clippers.
The clipping unit can be installed directly after the IPPS Packaging Funnel, creating an efficient workflow in which the operator bags the bird, positions the bag neck in the clipper and completes the package with a secure aluminium clip closure.
The machine is designed primarily from stainless steel and suitable industrial food-processing materials, providing hygienic construction, easy cleaning and resistance to the wet and corrosive conditions commonly found in poultry packing departments.
Pneumatic operation minimizes the number of electrical components in the product-contact area and provides a simple, robust and low-maintenance closing mechanism suitable for continuous industrial production.
The Automatic Poultry Bag Clipper can be supplied with adjustable clipping pressure and tooling according to the selected bag and aluminium clip specification, allowing the system to accommodate different poultry product weights and packaging materials.
The machine can be integrated into manual or semi-automatic poultry packaging lines and can operate together with packaging funnels, packing tables, product conveyors and downstream labelling or weighing equipment.
Professional food clipping machinery is covered by EN 13885:2022 for safety and hygienic design requirements. Where required, IPPS can specify food-grade aluminium clips manufactured in standard commercial dimensions and supported by applicable food-contact compliance documentation.
